Okay. For some reason, Wow sent me a message saying my account had been compromised. They put some stupid authenticator on my account. I have NO idea what that is or how to get the password for the authenticator. Can anyone help me with this?

I have been on hold for over 45 minutes with Blizzard's "help" support. I'm seriously considering just canceling my account. Their help section is pretty worthless online.

I can't check my account online because it requires the stupid authenticator password. HOW in the world can I check this crap when they throw something like this on my account without telling HOW to actually get the password.

I bet you just got scammed. Did they send you an email and you clicked a link and entered your password? It might have been a hacker site stealing your login. I get them constantly, even though I haven't played in over a year.

Yeah, it sounds to me like that email may have LOOKED like it was from Blizzard but was actually from somebody trying to steal your account info. Chances are it took you to a fake site that looked like Battle.net and you kept trying to log on, while they collected your login info. I'd suggest going to battle.net (the real one), logging in, and changing your password immediately. Also, make sure to run a virus scan.

I get about 50 of those emails everyday

I haven't played WoW in almost 3 years

Thanks guys. I spent an hour waiting before I finally got to talk to someone at Blizzard. My account has been stolen. I have NOT gone into any websites though. The lady said I probably downloaded some type of key logger? I have already run Malwarebytes but it did NOT find anything.

No where they get you is they say "Oh to fix this, click this link." The link looks legit and you log in to their website, they simply take your info. May not be a key logger at all.

Silver, the reason we think it is a key logger is because I have not entered my Wow info into any website.

I am an idiot though so who knows. This whole thing has my nerves tore up.

Dude, I'm know you're not offended by what I said, but I'm not commenting on how you screwed up but rather how devious these people are. Like I would have screwed up if the first person who did it to me didn't make it so unbelievable. They look legit and professional.

I don't know how in the world Blizzard deals with all this stuff. They must employ a lot of people just to fix things like this.
